We are offering the opportunity to apply for a wheel alignment technician/tyre salesman and fitter position available early 2023.

Your duties will include wheel alignments, tyre sales, fitting and repairs. Tyre and mag wheel knowledge would be a definite advantage, but we are prepared to train the right applicant. A good level of physical fitness assists.

We would be looking for:
- Initiative/motivation
- An ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Ability to price and quote on tyre sales and services in person and on the phone
- Good computer skills
- A quick learner
- A friendly and courteous attitude
- Clean and tidy presentation
- Reliability and punctuality
- Being able to communicate with customers and able to work unsupervised
- A clean current full driver’s license, as the position involves driving customers and company vehicles.

Hours of work would be Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm, at a competitive hourly rate reflective of experience.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

The Government has confirmed that New Zealand will be moving to Alert Level 3 on 28 April 2020.
Big Value Tyres will be open for business from Tuesday 28 April under strict COVID19 guidelines. We are available for your tyre, wheel and alignment needs.
While at Alert Level 3, the safety and wellbeing of everyone is a top priority. We are following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and have put the following measures in place to keep everyone safe:
• PPE: We will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle and all vehicle touch points will be thoroughly cleaned.
• Contact Tracing: We will collect contact details from all visitors in line with contact tracing guidelines.
• Social Distancing: Maintaining social distancing amongst our team members when they’re at work.
• Hygiene: We will be disinfecting and maintaining appropriate hygiene standards as well as ensuring personal measures such as hand hygiene and sneeze and cough etiquette.
• Payments: These can be made directly into our account at the time of purchase with a screenshot as proof of payment or by EFTPOS that will be sanitised after every use.

In relation to the Government mandated lockdown due to COVID-19 as of midnight tonight, Big Value Tyres will be closed at 5pm Wednesday 25 March until further notice.
