When Jason Dickey and the team set out to design the Pacific 62, they weren't drawing a boat for a client. They were designing one for Jason's own family: a vessel efficient enough to run for a year or two around the Pacific, with kids aboard and homeschooling underway, without the fuel bill and berthage making the whole idea unachievable. Khaos, the first Pacific 62, is well on her way to Fiji with Jason and family onboard. Clearing Reinga, the weather was slow to improve but Khaos handled it well, with a few fish picked up as a bonus along the way. 🎣
The two sea-chart pics show the terrain and chlorophyll levels where the first fish were found. Looking forward to catching up with Jason on video about the trip next week 😎
