After a weekend away down in the Manawtu for a Motorkhana and Autocross with a few from HB Car Club.
The Mazda was the wepon of choice for this event, not much choice as only one running at moment, racecar life aye.
Motorkhana ground was wet and slippery, but we managed 3rd, 5th and 7th places across the Weekend Race Warriors with the reat of HB taking out 11th, 18th, 20th and 26th, with our ladies and Jnr drivers doing awesome.
Autocross and things started drying out, the Mazda stock brakes just not up to the punishment, but still manage to do ok and the team taking 9th, 11th and 19th, and the rest of the HB crew taking 14th, 17th 24th and 28th.

Overall combined we managed to take out 2nd, 5th and 13th which isnt to shabby at all, the rest manage 15th, 22nd, 24th, 27th and 28th for the day.
We managed 2nd and 4th in class, and Grego takes out 1st in class. Check out the vidoes and photos below.

Magic day out in the mighty Manawtu Car Club, ripping up some Grass motorkhana, skills getting a little better with the 4wd and how it behaves, a couple others rolled out from Hawkes Bay as well, so was great to have each other to help and to banter with. Cracker day for it, learning about 4wd and its behavior, come away with 4th for the day, managed a heli, smoked a few cones, lost an inner gaurd, grass everywhere, had a few awesome moments of slids linking up, more to come from the Mighty Mazda as we carry on with it, unfortunately the starlet is Ka-put now, unless someone has a 1E in their shed they are willing to donate to the cause lol, awesome mix of courses today from fast and flowing to reverse J turns, not as easy in 4wd as they are in front wheel drive. Congratulations to the top 3 places, as always, smiles all round, Connor Lawrence got to go sideways and do skids, traction is over rated hahaha. Chur all, time to attempt to clean it.........not

Loaded up ready to go again tomorrow motorkhana, this will be intresting to see how the Mazda goes on its 1st outing for the motorkhana. Like white, it looks like I made an effort to clean it lol, dont look to close though
