We’ve been quietly developing something special.

After a number of enquiries in the 10–11m range, our latest powercat design is now well underway—refined, considered, and built around real-world performance and usability.

We’re planning to kick off construction in the new year and are now looking for the right owner to bring the first build to life.

The DEMEY engineering crew are currently working on a 1990 North Wind 56 at the Sulphur Point marina hard stand. The customer purchased the boat in Auckland and it has stopped off in Tauranga for a minor refit before it heads to its new home in Christchurch.
Repairs to the rudder and skeg required the boat to be hauled out, whilst this is happening the cutlass bearing and stern gland are also being replaced as part of the vessels new preventative maintenance program.
Upgrades and replacement of the built-in refrigeration and HVAC systems will make the boat more power friendly and comfortable for the Marlborough sounds cruising ground it’s destined for.
While updating these systems, maintenance on the hatches for water tightness, checking and repairing bilge and hydraulic systems are also being carried out by the team to ensure trouble free sailing.
