Another valiant heading out for final assembly before hitting the road.

This car had MANY hidden gremlins in the wiring loom. Almost every wire had been cut and joined with different colour's with almost every kind of join imaginable, then wrapped in tape in an attempt to hide these bad connections.

Bad connections can cause heat inside your harness depending how much current is going through that circuit at anytime, excessive heat can potentially cause a fire.

We have a new phone system here at PD's Auto Electrical.
Some of you will already know answering the phone and returning messages isn't my strong point.
I also find the phone calls distracting when I'm focused on a job.
So, Victoria will be taking over the work phone, same number, no change there.
The workphone won't be monitored at all times so please leave a voice message or send a text with a description of...
What the job is?
Include vehicle make and model?
Where the job is?
When you/ the vehicle are available?
How urgently you're wanting the job done?
Your contact info?
These messages will then be complied and brought to me.
I can assure you that Victoria's hit rate on ensuring messages are returned will be much higher than mine!
We hope this new system will mean more efficient and reliable communication, while letting me get on with what I do best, working on your cars.

Check this out and jump on board if you're able to. Some amazing people doing awesome work. We often head over to Dunedin for their $4 meals and feel lucky to get to give a little something back.

"Our goal is to encourage 100 local businesses to donate $50/month to our free kai programmes. This koha would feed one person 3 dinners each week.
If 100 businesses were able to donate $50 (or maybe more) per month, then we can reliably keep feeding people for free well into the future. If we receive more than this, we can grow & improve our programs and feed more people. First post of the new year. Last year was a ripper with some highs and some lows. But with more and more rewire/tidy up jobs coming in, This year is looking good.
This is before and after photos of an xw falcon engine bay rewire I did in December.
Keeping this on the road before the engine comes out for a freshen up and the engine bay is painted.
