Media Statement – Key to Communities Shelby Promotion

Matamata Panelworks has received several enquiries regarding the Key to Communities Shelby Promotion.

Matamata Panelworks and Shelby New Zealand were proud supporters of this initiative to help Pohlen Hospital and were to provide three Shelby vehicles for the promotion.

Like many in our community, we are deeply disappointed by yesterday's outcome. Pohlen Hospital is a cause close to our hearts, and we were pleased to support an initiative aimed at benefiting such an important local service.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control the promotion has had to be cancelled.

While we understand that supporters may feel frustrated and disappointed, the decision regarding the promotion was not made by Matamata Panelworks or Shelby New Zealand.

Brand New 2025 Shelby GT350 Available Now!

Shelby New Zealand is proud to present the band-new S650 Shelby GT350 Mustang.

Years ago, the Shelby GT350 redefined performance, turning the 1965 Mustang into an international icon. For 2025, Shelby American has re-imagined the GT350, creating the most powerful version ever with cutting-edge upgrades and design enhancements.

Based on the new S650 Mustang the 2025 Shelby GT350 features a 5.0L V8 engine, available as a naturally aspirated 480-horsepower model or supercharged 810 horsepower model. These engine options are both paired with a range of performance-focused suspension, exhaust, brake, aerodynamics and interior upgrades, making it a thrilling ride both on the street and the track, ensuring Shelby’s commitment to high performance.

In 1965, Shelby produced just 562 GT350s, and for 2025, production remains equally exclusive. The new GT350’s styling honours its legacy, with 60th anniversary badges, carbon fiber accents, a functional aluminium hood with heat extraction and a whole host of other performance ennhancements.

Shelby NZ is currently offering the first two new generation GT350's for sale.

The Grabber Blue car is N/A 480Hp model and is $164,995 and the Oxford White GT350 is an 810 Hp Supercharged model and is being offered for sale at $199,995.
