It was amazing, my first time driving a rally car. This weekend I did my debut in competition in a Skoda Fabia Group N. As I found New Zealand as my second home, my livery has some kiwi touches. I just wanna say thank you to you and all your team because I think without my experience with you I couldn’t be in a rally car now. I enjoyed a lot! One of the perks of having a cool business is the opportunity to make dreams come true. We get a massive kick out of sharing our beloved sport with you all and giving people the opportunity to drive real rally cars
Last year we were approached by Make a Wish who asked if we could accommodate Jake at our October Rally School, we jumped at the chance - what a privilege to be someone’s wish!
Here’s Jake’s story:

“ In October of 2024 I found a lump on my neck. After a few physical examinations and a ct/pet scan I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which turned my whole world upside down. I was in and out of hospital for months, with invasive chemotherapy slowing my appetite and upsetting my sleep. I was constantly nauseous and tired.

One day I had a visit from make-a-wish and began thinking of things to wish for. I had seen Rally Drive on instagram and I’ve been a rally fan since I was very young so I figured that was a good idea.

I drove up for the weekend and had such an amazing time with the team up there learning more about the sport and driving the stage. I’m so grateful I got the opportunity to try it and I’d recommend it to anyone interested in motorsports of any kind.”

Jake is now in remission! He had a check up just this morning and is doing great 🙌
