Mitsubishi Triton 2014 , came in , over heated , losing water , diagnosed reason was the EGR cooler ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation ) was the problem , a cooler where exhaust gases goes thru , and sometimes the exhaust blows thru the internals into the cooling system , feeding exhaust gases into radiator etc , this damaged radiator , lost water , ended up blowing head gasket , warped head and block.
We removed engine , stripped down , had head tested , decked surfaces , decked block , new cambelt , water pump , service , fluids , thermostat , radiator etc , plus many more. New clutch as was very worn , easier to replace now than having to pull motor or gearbox out later.
Then we removed EGR cooler and valve , blanked off , then Remapped the ECU , ( Computer) to delete any fault codes and data from having the EGR removed.
Roadtest and recheck , good to go to customer 👍

This was my dream car as a teenager , and still is really , a customers rare 1994 Nissan Skyline GT-R that he hand picked from Japan 8 Years ago , doesn't come out very often , in for a WOF and wheel Alignment , very cool , well looked after 😀👍

Short week this week , been another busy one in the shop , smashed out some good jobs , and our new worker Glenn Hart has started pulling this Supercharged v6 Audi apart to fix water leaks , as you can see , very involved to work on , keep removing parts and fix the problems , this a quick little car and has been in the Targa rally , so make it reliable again 😀 👍

After some more power , well this guy did.
2017 Mercedes GLE63s 5.5 litre twin turbo petrol V8 , it had power before , but man does it boogie now !!

Came in for. ECU power tune remap , extra 80hp helps thing get up and rip the tarmac to a high speed of 100km/hr to pick up the groceries in time

Santa has arrived early here at Mapua Auto Centre .
Flash new tyre, wheel balancer , air assisted lock and sonar for getting a good wheel balance. Fitting 2 x sets of quality michellin pilot tyres , and wheel alignment getting done.

If your needing tyres and wheel alignment we can help , alot of tyres in stock , and can get almost any tyre brand overnight from south island or within a week if in north island depending on freight.

When servicing vehicles alot of people and places forget about checking the Cabin Air filter , this is the filter from the outside air coming in thru your heater , air con air vents.
I think I would rather breathe in cleaner air , this 1 is particularly bad , will make the fan blow better also 👍

2022 Mitsubishi Triton in for a set on new tyres , fitted these awesome Maxxis AT811 all terrain tyres , have been getting great results on these , 1 customer got over 90,000km on them.
I have these on my own Ranger , good on and off road handling, great tread pattern , and so far i haven't had to do a puncture repair on 1 on any we have fitted.
Check out the old tyre , I know which tyre I would prefer on my ute 👍

The nelson motorcycle club have entered a team of 10 riders to race each class to taupo .
We have made the trip upto Taupo to race moto x , Carter Ross entering 9-11 65cc class , race on today and tomorrow 👍
