We have this 2008 mazda bt50 / ford ranger 3.0 4 cylinder diesel turbo in work.
Engine rebuild due to overheated engine , cracked cylinder wall letting water in and compression into cooling system, we have done a few of these now , getting older , still go great.
And with overheating issues we do a couple of other things with repair , like removing the Cat converter from exhaust as when they get too old or not burning off excessive heat is trapped and restricting engine causing more heat , EGR cooler leaks , putting exhaust gas into cooling system , so we have removed all , carried out a ECU remap to delete EGR system and not bring up any fault codes on dash. Make a more responsive engine and more reliable , ECU Remap helped with Rapid Performance

You don't see many of these around

1987 Ferrari 328 GTS , a 3.2 litre V8 manual kept in tidy condition , amazing what cars are hidden away.

Lucky the targa top was removed as my head was above the roof line 😄

2020 Toyota hilux in this week for a full suspension lift kit , all new heavy duty front and rear springs , heavy duty shocks , Ironman front steel bumper , new fog lamps etc , bit of work setting up nice and get the fitment good , then a good setup on the Wheel aligner to get a good alignment , as when you touch anything on steering or suspension things move , so we spent the time adjusting camber , caster and toe to get a good setup for handling and tyre wear , drives nice.

Ironman have done a good job designing this bumper , very strong , has a winch mountainous behind number plate, built to do the job 👊

When getting your vehicle serviced some places over look checking the CABIN FILTER , this is the filter for the outside air coming into your vehicle thru the fan and vents to keep you warm or cool , if your car lives outside , drive gravel road these need changing more often , winter time Rats and Mice love getting into warm spaces and making nests , chewing wires , filters , bringing in leaves , fluff , peeing and pooing , i know I would rather breathe fresh air.

Check out this Ford Ranger filter , mice / rats been making a mess , fan would hardly work , worth changing i think 🤔

Mitsubishi Triton 2014 , came in , over heated , losing water , diagnosed reason was the EGR cooler ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation ) was the problem , a cooler where exhaust gases goes thru , and sometimes the exhaust blows thru the internals into the cooling system , feeding exhaust gases into radiator etc , this damaged radiator , lost water , ended up blowing head gasket , warped head and block.
We removed engine , stripped down , had head tested , decked surfaces , decked block , new cambelt , water pump , service , fluids , thermostat , radiator etc , plus many more. New clutch as was very worn , easier to replace now than having to pull motor or gearbox out later.
Then we removed EGR cooler and valve , blanked off , then Remapped the ECU , ( Computer) to delete any fault codes and data from having the EGR removed.
Roadtest and recheck , good to go to customer 👍
