***HE PĀNUI | MANUTUKE FUEL AND STORE***

Tēnā tatau katoa,

Tāmanuhiri Tūtū Poroporo Trust’s Board of Trustees extend their heartfelt gratitude to our iwi, hapori, valued kaimahi, and all those who have supported Manutuke Fuel and Store since 2021. For the past two and a half years, our fuel and retail services have been vital lifelines for our iwi and rural communities south of Gisborne.

In our commitment to managing our assets responsibly, we regularly evaluate our investment portfolio to ensure alignment with our strategic pou and long-term financial goals. Following a comprehensive annual review, the Board of Trustees of TTPT have made the challenging decision to sell Manutuke Fuel and Store as part of a strategic realignment of our direct investment allocation.

We recognize the profound impact this decision has on our dedicated kaimahi, iwi whānui, and the broader Muriwai and Manutuke communities. The well-being of our kaimahi is paramount, and TTPT is fully committed to supporting each individual affected by this transition.

Manutuke Fuel and Store will continue to provide retail services until April 24th, 2024. From May 1st, 2024, Manutuke Fuel and Store will operate under an unmanned model, which means that there will be no retail service available. However, the pumps will remain operational until the store is sold.

Once the sale and settlement processes are concluded, TTPT‘s Board of Trustees will explore new commercial opportunities that align with our strategic pou and contribute to the prosperity of both our iwi and hapori.

We extend a mihi to our kaimahi, iwi whānui, and wider communities for their ongoing support.

If you have any queries or pātai, please direct them to Pauline Hill, the TTPT Chairperson, via email at [email protected].

Ngā mihi,
Board of Trustees, Tāmanuhiri Tūtū Poroporo Trust
