When a battery warning light turns into a full electrical investigation. 🔦
This Range Rover came in with the battery light on and a charging fault. What looked like a straightforward battery job turned into something far more involved once we got into the boot.
The spare wheel well had filled with water — and sitting right in the middle of it was the battery, fuse box, and wiring. The battery tray was full of standing water, the fuse block had corroded through, earth straps had turned to rust, and the wiring had suffered significant corrosion damage throughout.
We drained the boot, removed the battery and fuse box assembly, cleaned down the entire area, replaced the battery, repaired the damaged fuse box, and restored the corroded wiring back to a serviceable condition. Once reassembled, charging voltage was confirmed correct and all systems operating as expected.
Water ingress in these vehicles is no joke — left unchecked, it doesn’t just flatten a battery. It works its way through every connection in the area and the repair bill grows fast.
If your Range Rover has had a wet boot or you’re chasing electrical gremlins, get it looked at before it becomes a bigger problem.

🔧 When the compression tester tells the story.
2006 Chrysler 300C came in with a coolant leak and a rough running concern. Compression test across all eight cylinders told us everything we needed to know — five cylinders with little to no compression, three cylinders on Bank 2 reading zero.
Stripped the engine down to confirm. Head gasket failure across both banks, internal damage throughout. No saving this one.
Sometimes the honest answer is the hardest one to give — but our job is to tell you exactly what’s going on, not what you want to hear.
Engine replacement is the path forward. We’ll get it sorted. 💪

🔍 Ford Ranger | Air Intake Leak — Diagnosed & Fixed
This Ranger came in with a suspected air intake leak. We carried out a smoke test to pinpoint the source — and sure enough, a cracked intake manifold was the culprit.
Cracks like this allow unmetered air into the engine, throwing off the fuel-air mixture and causing rough running, poor performance, and in some cases fault codes that chase you in circles.
Manifold removed, fault confirmed, and repaired. Smoke test repeated post-repair — no leaks found. Confirmed correct operation before return to the customer.
If your vehicle is running rough, throwing codes, or just doesn’t feel right — don’t guess. A smoke test takes the mystery out of it.
