Back on the 3rd of May 2021 our journey started with Ken to complete his dream of a street legal Essex Rat Rod. It's not easy to build something like this beast, constructed to look like bits and pieces just chucked together in the backyard yet still meet stringent LVV and compliance regulations. A little over 5 years later and many, many headaches Ken's dream has become a reality. Special thanks to Stu's Trim & Sound for help with interior impact requirements
Specs include:
Rough chopped Essex body with su***de doors, custom deck featuring old oil stained and paint splattered tongue and groved timber,.
A 350 Chev (played with), featuring twin 400 Holly's on a Weiland high rise, Eldebrock filters, Headers with skull dumps, custom 4 core radiator, custom bell housing mated to Torana 4 speed, Jag rear end, L300 front suspension. 4 wheel disc brakes with twin brake boosters, a mitsubishi master cylinder and Znoelli pads. HQ steering column.
Had to be a beer keg to fuel the beast aye.
Early bmw tail lamps on rear, a grill on front with a chev badge but is it?
You will spend a lot of time figuring out what came from where on this ride.
You've got to squeeze in past that handbrake handle that Ken found and with boat seats to sit on, you know your riding in something different ......

We had this very cool 58 Chevy impala in the workshop for a few days getting a few different repairs and a service.
Love them or hate them, you have to appreciate the hard work that goes into them. This one has an amazing paint job on the roof done by Charlie’s Custom Paint & Pinstriping. As well as a LS1 hidden under the bonnet
