1941 Willy’s Coupe v10 Viper Powered Project

Viper v10 and 6 speed manual with prefix ecu and wiring loom set up.
New Viper aluminium radiator.
Diahatshu rugger chassis
Jaguar front suspension with Subaru brembo 4 pot calipers and rotors
Jaguar XJ rear suspension assy narrowed to suit with later model jaguar outboard brakes and hubs assemblies
Fibreglass 41 Willy’s body shell
With a spare 1 piece front.
2 Willy’s grilles, 1 polished, 1 straight out of mould.
This shell was purchased less floor to be used as a buck to steel out body.
Firewall, floor through to boot has been steeled out.
Doors have been started to be steeled with electric window winders, door locking mechanism, and hidden repo door hinge assemblies.
Heated electric leather seats out of late model vehicle.
Boot floor has been made as a drop floor to enable room for a spare wheel.
Sectioned and sealed XJS Jaguar fuel tank fitted between wheel wells, enabling a surge tank for external fuel pumps to be utilised.
Heater assembly along with steering column has been fitted.
Steering column coupling to Jaguar steering rack fabricated.
Jaguar pedal box and booster assembly
Willwood remote fluid reservoirs
Jaguar XJ6 series 1 dash fitted into dash bezel, along with series 1 auxiliary gauges.
Vehicle comes with aftermarket late model mini headlight assemblies and reproduction original Willys headlights.
Taillights reproduction Willy’s led style.

Wheels
Rear are Simmons style 20 x 10 with
315/35/20 tyres
Front are 3 piece OM Simmons 18 x 8 with 245/45/18 tyres

All tyres secondhand and probably no longer road worthy

Vehicle is only in offered together stage of build , with nothing finalised enabling things to be changed, adjusted to suit requirements.

I have vin numbers for parts used in this build for final compliance certification.

With the country in lock down we are still open for business but have had to make some changes.

Even though our doors are closed for pick ups and shop visits we are still available for phone, internet and purchases through TradeMe.

Currently our courier provider is still operating for pick up’s and deliveries.

USA Customs blocks export of all Vehicles with a NY title nationwide

Effective today Friday, February 7th 2020 the USA Customs and Border Protection agency is unable to connect to the NY State DMV and clear NY titled vehicles for export. The reason is political and is tied to inability of the DMV (NY State) and USA Customs office (Federal Government) to share information between the two systems. The NY State is trying to protect the identity of illegal immigrants with NY State driver licenses and no longer shares access to its database with any Federal agencies.

We are very disappointed by such damaging decision and are still evaluating the impact. This will impact vehicles leaving all ports, not just Port of NY/NJ.

We strongly advise clients to not purchase any NY titled vehicles until this situation is resolved.

So far we know there will be $1000s of fees/fines from the ocean carriers and trucking companies for each container delivered to the Port with NY titled vehicles. Those containers will need to be returned back to our warehouses and unloaded.

At this point we have two options to help mitigate this problem:

1. We can help owners with NY titled vehicles, older than 25 years, to be re-titled in another state through a legal process. Our current estimate for this process is 5 business days at which point we will be able to submit the new title to USA Customs and export your vehicle from the same port as originally planned. There is a significant cost to this process and we estimate our expenses at $1000/vehicle. Unfortunately this option doesn't apply to vehicles manufactured after 1/1/1995 or salvage vehicles.

2. There is an option to re-title vehicles manufactured after 1/1/1995 but the process is more complicated and involves transporting your car across the entire USA. The cost is $1750/vehicle.

3. Resell the vehicle at a US based auction where you purchased it originally through the same dealer. We expect the car values to take a hit due to a flooding of these NY titled vehicles at auctions.

If you have NY titled vehicle in our freight agency or your possession which you planned to export internationally, please get in touch with your freighting agency.
