It’s the law: You must signal left before you exit a roundabout. That includes when you're going straight through.

We’ve been talking about how important signalling is in winter when visibility is reduced in bad weather, and this applies just as much at roundabouts. People need to understand what you’re doing – especially when it’s dark and raining.

"But why?" some people ask. Here's why:

Signalling left as you're exiting shows people your intentions and helps keep everyone moving efficiently.

For example, if you're travelling straight through a roundabout, signalling left before you exit shows people waiting in front of you that it's safe for them to enter the roundabout.

It’s not okay to not signal at all – no one knows what you’re up to.

It’s not okay to signal right as you’re exiting – it’s incorrect, and you’re saying you’re continuing around the roundabout when actually you aren’t.

You’ll notice there’s no minimum time you have to signal for because some roundabouts are small, but always do your best to signal so everyone else knows the direction you’re travelling.

Let's recap:

• If you’re taking the first exit: signal left.
• If you’re going straight through and it’s not the first exit: signal left as you pass the exit before the one you’re taking.
• If you’re going more than halfway around the roundabout: signal right, then signal left as you pass the exit before the one you’re taking.

BEGINNING OF A NEW SCHOOL TERM .

Back to school ,this week that means most of us fall into our normal routine.

For driving lesson's they can start as early as 7.00am, making sure if needed we can finish lesson back at school.

Lesson's are always in high demand after school,so book early to reserve your time.
Also lunch time lesson's available,year 13 have more flexibility .

Our mini cooper's are a fantastic car to learn in with a high safety standard and fun and cool to drive.
