Position Available: Experienced Automotive Technician – Classic & Performance Vehicles
Location: Henry’s Rod Shop | Katikati
Henry’s Rod Shop is a specialist workshop dedicated to the restoration, maintenance, and performance tuning of classic and custom vehicles. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Automotive Technician with a strong background in engine tuning and mechanical systems to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain classic and custom vehicles across a range of makes and models
• Perform precision engine tuning, including carburetor setup, ignition timing, and performance optimization
• Conduct mechanical restorations, including engine rebuilds, drivetrain work, and suspension upgrades
• Collaborate with fabricators and bodywork specialists to deliver high-quality, integrated builds
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious workspace
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Proven experience working with classic cars, hot rods, and performance engines
• In-depth knowledge of carbureted systems, ignition tuning, and mechanical diagnostics
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative workshop team
• A genuine passion for automotive heritage and performance
• Welding, fabrication, or electrical experience is a plus
