This was the culprit to a starting fault on an old cherry picker. A small cut through the insulation caused corrosion inside the wire after this repair I replaced the dodgy emergency stop and start switch that were also full of corrosion.

The old girl had some repair. The starter motor had failed. Once this was repaired and the tractor was up and running, it became apparent that the generator had also failed this was upgraded to more reliable alternator.
