At this time of year, our vehicle's electrical components will be tested due to the cold conditions.

We recommend that you are proactive in maintaining your auto electrics. We welcome you to pop in and let us conduct a quick preventative maintenance check, so you don't get caught with the car not starting at the most inconvenient of times (Murphy's law) .

Here is PART of the list of the electrical system parts we check and maintain (replace when necessary), to ensure you are good to go;
• Battery (cleanliness, connections and up to charge)
• Alternator (charging properly, connections and belt tension)
• Starter (cleanliness and good connections)
• All cables & connections, especially ground (remove rust & corrosion)

We are looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Kaiapoi workshop.

We work on a variety of vehicles from lawnmowers, motorbikes and cars right up to a variety of heavy vehicles; tractor, diggers and dump trucks to name a few.
The role involves working on commercial and private customer vehicles, working both in the workshop and on location. Air conditioning experience a bonus but not essential.

If you;
• are able to work well independently and in a team
• have experience with diagnostic tools
• can work methodically through finding, confirming and repairing faults
• have good written and verbal communication skills
• take pride in quality workmanship, and
• have a Full NZ Drivers licence
