At the tricky stage of the tear down. Rusted fastners between the body and chassis. Slowly getting them free with penetrating oil and an impact driver. Also completed the mezzanine floor so we can get all the parts and the other junk in the shed stowed away.

This page is to document our journey restoring this vintage British car.
It is a Morris Eight Series E , designed in 1938 (production continued through the war for the military, essential civilian use and some export. Post-war general production restarted in 1945) .

This particular car was built post war, first registered in 1948, and was put back on the road back in 2011 by a Garage in Hunterville.

We received Flash, Registered and running, but with no WOF , painted in primer. The decision was made to use this as a fun project for myself and my two boys, including tearing down, repairing and repainting, to get Flash back on the road.

Why "Flash" ? because he is so speedy (powered by a 918 cc Morris Type USHM Sidevalve engine, with a whole 29 hp)
