Around 3 years ago, I told Mel I wanted to buy a digger and start hiring it out. Her response? “Let’s do it!” 💪
She backed me 100%, and the rest is history.
We called it Lou’s Machinery Ltd, but if we’re being honest, it probably should’ve been called Mel’s Machinery Ltd! 😂
From building our website and sorting hire agreements to all the behind-the-scenes hard work, Mel was a massive part of getting the business off the ground. Fast forward 3 years, and we’ve got a fleet of machines and an awesome crew. None of it would’ve happened without her.
And here’s the kicker… she did all of that while still working full-time as a property manager! Talk about hard work, dedication and backing your team. ❤️

A small, boutique property management business right here in Hawke's Bay, built around something I genuinely believe in — quality over quantity.
I'm not setting out to build the biggest rent roll in town. I want to build something I'm proud of, work with good people, provide a great service and still have time to enjoy life along the way.
It's exciting, a little terrifying, but I'm looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes me!
