At Deakin Trucks Isuzu we love it when our clients set us a challenge.
So, when the time came for Wairoa business owners, Amber and Blair from Pearse Liquid Waste to replace their aging truck they contacted their local Isuzu dealership. With an Isuzu sales team based in Hawkes Bay they knew they’d come to the right place, dealing with a local business who knew the area.
After going through the various options, the Isuzu FVR1000M 4x2 was the truck chosen to handle the job and now came the challenge “can you swap our existing tip deck and tank from our existing truck onto the new Isuzu within two weeks”. As a one truck family business it was imperative that they got back into operation as quickly as possible to continue providing great service to their loyal customer base in Wairoa and the wider district.
Sales Manager, Dion Butler of Deakin Trucks, knew just the team that he could trust to achieve this, our very own in-house engineering team. The Deakin Engineering team created a plan and set about preparing the new Isuzu FVR1000M 4x2 to suit the existing tip deck, and when the timing was right, Blair dropped off their existing truck, and so the clock began ticking.
Challenge accepted — and achieved. Within two weeks, the tip deck, hoist and components were modified and transferred onto the new Isuzu FVR1000M 4x2. The vac tank was blasted, painted and repositioned, with window tints, signage, RT radio, PDI, wheel alignment, in-house LT400 certification, CoF, compliance and grooming all completed. A huge thank you to our engineering and paint shop team for making it happen.
