Some new kit for our workshop to bring our customers the best possible test practice and vehicle safety - more post to come. On the first day using this equipment, we found one Nissan had nearly no rear brakes working, a 2018 Isuzu Dmax with warped front disk rotors, a Mazda BT50 with warped rear drums, and a Mazda demio with warped front rotors. What is even better is that we are able to show our customers actual data to show the issue and then repeat the test once the repairs have been carried out to confirm the repair was successful.

Why should you machine your disk rotors before installing new disc pads?

It's best practice - it helps the new pads to seat/wear-in correctly, and repairs damage to the rotor.

This is our on car brake lathe at work where the disk rotor is directly mounted to the hub.

This ensures that we are sure our customers will have the best experience when having their brakes serviced, and have great performance right out the gate.
