Winter training shouldn’t stop the moment the sun goes down. 💡

If you’re managing an arena, horse float parking area or yards where riders and horses need to see clearly, dependable lighting isn’t just nice to have, it’s an important part of keeping everyone safe.

Astern’s solar lighting systems provide up to eight hours of wide, even light, giving you plenty of coverage for most evening sessions without the cost or hassle of running mains power out to a remote paddock.

No trenching. No permanent cabling. No ongoing electricity costs at the lighting position. Just practical outdoor lighting built for real-world conditions.

Another horse float in for a proper rebuild. 👌

We’ve stripped it right back so we can get a clear look at what’s going on underneath and work through the repairs properly.

This stage is all about getting the structure sorted, fixing any problem areas, and making sure everything is ready before the new fit-out goes back in.

It might look pretty bare at the moment, but this is where the real work starts.

We’ll keep sharing the progress as this one comes together.

Could your team spot every hazard after dark? 💡

Poor lighting can turn uneven ground, equipment and moving vehicles into serious risks. Before work begins, take a few minutes to check that:

✓ Walkways and access points are clearly visible
✓ Work areas have wide, even lighting
✓ Entrances, exits and hazards aren’t hidden in dark spots
✓ Lights are positioned to reduce glare and heavy shadows
✓ Temporary cables and equipment are safely secured
✓ Backup power is available if needed

Good lighting helps everyone see clearly, move safely and get the job done with confidence.

Before ➡️ After

This one got a proper overhaul from the inside out.

A well-loved float had been sold to a new family who had a few ideas about what would work better for them. We took those ideas, worked through what needed doing, and gave the float a full refresh so it was more comfortable, practical and ready for plenty more use.

Here’s what we sorted:

Complete strip-out
Leak repair
Re-wiring
Insulation
New lining
New floor coverings
New squab/fabric over the seating
New lighting
New power points
Solar upgrade
Diesel heater
Positive airflow
New range hood
A lot of the work sits behind the finished look, but that’s what makes the difference long term.

We keep it simple, tell you what actually needs fixing, do the job properly, and keep the pricing fair.

Safe repairs. Fair prices. No mucking around.
