We're heading for another long weekend... aaaand🌧️ the rain’s forecast set in for the next few days – what a great time to think about replacing one of your key safety items – WIPERS!
We recommend replacing front wipers at least annually, and other wipers [wherever you may have them fitted] inspected regularly.

You’ll get your wipers carefully checked with every full Greg Hantz Autos service, along with a check of all essential safety items, and that’s a good idea as we head into the grim weather season.

📣 An Easter message from Greg Hantz Autos 📣
If you're heading away over the long weekend, give your car a few simple checks first! Here's a checklist:
- check tyres all look ok, and check pressures
- coolant and oil ok?
- if you're filling up - are you using the correct grade of fuel? Using too-low octane in a loaded up car can be very bad news
- windscreen clean, inside and out?
- how about those wiper blades?

And please remember - driving tired is a big problem, so plan on sleep, and time to take breaks. And of course - lay off the 🍻
And if any strange noises or warning lights pop up over the weekend, we'll be back in the workshop from Tuesday.

Hi everyone - I have some Big News! After Greg & I take a short break next week, I'm heading off to start a new full-time role so will be leaving Greg Hantz Autos!
I'm really going to miss all the interaction I've had with our clients and seeing so many of you who have become not just customers - but friends. Before I go I'll be teaching Greg and Ra how to answer phones with a cheerful voice [wish me luck!].

And don't worry, I'll be around, hitting all the cool festivals so you'll see [or probably hear me first] me around - please come and say hi!

We all know to have our engine oil changed regularly, but when did you last think about the rest of the drivetrain?
In front wheel drive cars this means fluid changes for the transaxle [often done along with the engine oil] but in most older cars, almost all commercial vehicles, and in almost all BMWs this means the gearbox and at the rear end – the diff.

We’re seeing a number of failures in this area, and recommend having diff oils replaced at the latest every 100,00km [or sooner depending on manufacturers’ recommendations].

When did YOU last have your rear end checked out? Greg and Ra are both well-experienced in this area, and more than willing to get their hands on the job!
