Merry Xmas to all our customers and followers.
I know I haven't posted much this year, and what a year it has been.
Coming out of 2020, we thought things would get better. But 2021 had a "Hold my beer idea!"
To be honest, this year has been an ultimate struggle, both in business and general life.
Earlier this year I had to have an operation to reattach the tendons from my bisep muscle. The surgeon said "you'll be fine in 3 months, max". Well, the operation didn't quite go according to plan, but that's another story. The surgery healed well. But as I discovered, there is a difference to recovery from surgery, and rehabilitation to get back to your former abilities. 7 months on from surgery and I'm still battling with getting back to my prior strenghts.
Add to that, a lockdown that would test the best of us, divide some, and bring to the forefront of what really matters to us personally.
I am still learning that as a one man operation, I need to learn that I can't do everything all at once.
With saying that, the latest lockdown and the weeks that followed have been very trying as a small business owner/operator.
I have found a snowball efect happening that is out of my control.
From parts ordered from overseas being delayed with shipping, to our own couriers being random with their delivery times etc, stock not available due to delays, Auckland being Auckland, and other businesses being so backed up and under pressure as well.
All the best laid plans have gone out the window, and it is a stressfull time not being able to get projects out in a timely manner.
To those customers that have projects with me, I can't thank you enough for your understanding and patience, for without that things could be a lot different.
For those that are waiting for work to be started, just a little longer and we will get there.
As for the rehab, it is slowly getting there. The physio's have told me it could be a minimum of 12 months before I get anywhere near what I was before.
2022....... What does this have in store????
Hopefully, no more lockdowns!!!!!
As for Grey Wolf, I am hoping that we can strive to get back to some sort of normallity, less delays, better timelines.
More servicing and repairs are available in 2022, with the introduction of a diagnostic tool for scanning and electronic fault diagnostics.
It is a bit of a long rant, but if you have got this far, we here at Grey Wolf Trikes and Bikes wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, and hope to see you out n about somewhere or getting some work carried out at our workshop.
Shiny side up, rubber side down!!
Thanks for all of you support!!! Cheers.
