People think insurance is just for car crashes. It covers the unlucky stuff too 🪨...

This morning a driver got their brand new SUV wedged on a big rock outside the bakery next to our Faultless Cars depot. Popped front tyre, damage underneath, and no way out without causing more.

Williams Salvage was called and it wasn't long before one of their fantastic tow truck drivers was on the scene. He lifted the front of the SUV, we strapped the rock to one of our utes and, with a bit of grunt (and a lot of effort from the ute), dragged it clear. The car went onto the truck with no further damage.

It wasn't a claim we could help with, but we're always glad to lend a hand when we can. It's a good reminder of why I started Faultless, to help Kiwis through stressful situations. Because sometimes... s**t happens 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes we rock up to a panel shop with a like-for-like replacement car for a client... and sometimes we just rock up with a box of cupcakes and no other agenda than saying thanks 🧁 Huge thanks to the team at Higgins Panel and Paint for having us out and for the ongoing support. We love working with repairers who look after their customers as well as they look after their cars. Watch this space 👀

Today, we had a lovely morning tea with Lisa from Faultless Cars NZ.

After a not-at-fault accident, the last thing you should be doing is organising your own hire car, chasing insurers, or sitting without a vehicle.

As a not-at-fault driver in New Zealand, you have rights and most people have no idea what they are.

The at-fault driver's insurer is responsible. You are entitled to a like-for-like replacement vehicle. You do not have to use your own insurance.
