Getting Ready for Level 3!
We'll be open with all the precautions in place.
Call Rod 021 434 694, and he'll arrange a time for your WOF, service or fix, and explain our safe and contact-less method of dropping off your car.
The workshop has had a fresh coat of floor paint and is looking extra clean waiting for all of our customers to come back to us. Looking forward to seeing all our wonderful clients, and hoping we'll be back to normal as soon as possible!

We're Open! (on Tuesday 28th that is)
Back to work after what was meant to be our trip to the USA..... now delayed until September next year! So give Rod a ring 021 434 694, to book a time for your WOF's/ repairs/ services or anything else that's gone wrong during lock-down.
Poor Rod, he's been locked-down in his shed for the past 4 weeks. Very tough on him .... but what has he been doing? Well, his new track car is looking really good, a new winch has appeared on his trailer, gadgets and gizmo's have been carefully made, and he painted and replaced the entrance gate to R&A Auto, to name a few projects.
We look forward to seeing you all...... check out the gate as you come in........

You may not have known, but Rod has had many years being involved with motor racing, building and servicing rally and race cars, as well as driving his own rally car at many events. This combined with his Warrant of Fitness certification, has given him the opportunity to become a category A scrutineer for local motor racing - making sure race vehicles are safe to operate on the race track. So if you see him with a clip-board at Manfeild, you'll know what he's up to!

We were more than happy to sponsor our local Bridge Club last month for their Charity Tournament. The photo shows that we were one of many local businesses and people to donate goods and services, which is really nice to see.Congratulations to them for raising over $1500 for the Rescue Helicopter Trust - an extremely worthy cause!

Interesting what you can find in a heater fan! Rod found this dusty mess in a client's car after they complained of a noise when the heater was running. The air was going through this and into the car...... not very efficient, and certainly not healthy! If your car fan makes a noise, get it checked out.

Another Heavy Lift for the Hoist!
This little 60's Fiat Bambina is having the final touches of its make-over completed.
Originally arriving in the workshop in parts, Rod has spent many an hour putting it together and giving new life to this fab little car.
And who would have thought back in the day, that they would be fetching between $12,000 to $17,000 on today's market!

Guess who came first in his class in the Transpec GT Oil Track Day series at Manfeild? Rookie of the year - Rod! Not bad for his first year in the Manawatu Car Club.
His class was "Naturally Aspirated Rear-wheel Drive" which had 21 other drivers contesting for first prize.
His agent, Amber, is now negotiating with teams from F1, Nascar and Le Mans..... or so she is reported to say.

Things are looking up (and outwards) at R&A Automotive, as Rod added a window for the office, and a nice waiting area for our clients.
Amber (Office girl, and general tea and coffee maker) was overheard saying, "not quite what I had in mind when Rod said he was going window shopping......"
