The filter on the left came out of a customer's vehicle during a recent service and looks like it's spent the last few years vacuuming every dusty road in town.. The one on the right is its replacement.

The Sims Brothers Garage Tarmac Autocross is this Sunday at Stedman Road, Mosgiel, proudly hosted by the Otago Sports Car Club (OSCC).

Whether you're a seasoned competitor or giving motorsport a go for the first time, this is one of the best events to sharpen your driving skills in a safe and controlled environment. No door-to-door racing, just you against the clock.

✅ Great for beginners and experienced drivers alike
✅ Run what you brung, almost any roadworthy car is welcome
✅ Friendly atmosphere with plenty of experienced competitors happy to help

😳 This ball joint was hanging on for dear life!

The customer brought their vehicle in after noticing a clunking noise and did exactly the right thing by getting it checked before it became a bigger issue.
The old ball joint had excessive wear and was on its way to failure, which can affect steering, handling, tyre wear, and most importantly, safety.
The fresh replacement on the right means this customer is back on the road, safe and confident.
