Firstly, I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Marc’s Cars over the years. It has been an incredible journey, and we genuinely appreciate every customer, friend, family member, and supporter who has helped us along the way.
My journey in the motor industry started when I was just 19 years old, grooming vehicles for Rob McLean Motors. Fast forward to today, and at 53 years old I’ve spent more than three decades in the automotive industry. I’ve seen the good times, the tough times, and just about every change imaginable in between.
What hasn’t changed is our commitment to treating people fairly and helping everyday New Zealand families find quality vehicles at realistic prices.
Like many businesses and families, we understand the financial pressures people are facing. Fuel, groceries, power bills, insurance, rates, and everyday living costs continue to rise. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to provide practical motoring solutions that help our customers keep more money in their pockets.
While I’ll always be passionate about V8s and performance vehicles, we’re also embracing the future of motoring. We’ve recently secured a selection of quality late-model Nissan Leaf electric vehicles that offer incredibly low running costs and excellent reliability.
When sourcing these vehicles, we don’t just buy any Leaf. We carefully select vehicles with strong battery health, generally around 85% State of Health or better, along with low to medium kilometres and quality tyres. We want our customers to enjoy years of affordable, trouble-free motoring.
The savings can be significant. No oil changes, no timing belts, fewer servicing requirements, and a fraction of the fuel costs compared to many traditional vehicles. For families, commuters, and retirees alike, they make a lot of sense in today’s environment.
To provide additional peace of mind, we also offer Autosure warranties to help protect against the unexpected.
We’re also excited to have several Subaru AWD models arriving from Japan. Thanks to favourable exchange rates, we’re able to source quality vehicles at prices that represent excellent value. Subaru’s renowned all-wheel-drive system makes them an ideal choice for Otago’s changing weather conditions and winter roads.
