Last night we had to make the tough decision to pull the Evo giveaway, we reached out to everyone that purchased a package with the email below.

We’re reaching out because you purchased a Cherry Performance Automotive Discount Package which also gave you free entry into the Evo 7 promotion. Thank you so much for your support!
Unfortunately we’ve had hundreds of enquires asking if we’re operating within the law and if we’ll end up like JLRC, who were paused by the Department of Internal Affairs earlier this year. Lots of JLRC customers haven’t received a refund yet as JLRC are awaiting the DIA’s decision.
This has hugely effected New Zealanders confidence in similar business models, and to a level that couldn’t be expected. Although we have been directly in touch with the DIA for confirmation around which laws Trade Promotions are governed by and if you need a license, our membership sign ups haven’t come close to what we needed.
We’re reaching out to let you know the purchase price of your Cherry Membership has been refunded. You still have access to all of the discount partners, but the Evo 7 promotion will not be running as scheduled.
We’ve put the better part of a year into setting up Cherry Performance, making sure our offering has value, that we’re compliant within the law and partnering with some key players in the industry. We’re going to take the summer to reevaluate things and we’ll be back in the New Year.
We’ve processed your refund back onto the card the purchase was made with and it will be in your account within 5-10 business days. You’ll have access to the discount partners until the end of February 2024, and we’ll be working on adding more between now and then.
