Another epic adventure completed, this time in beautiful Doubtful Sound! 🤩

As the namesake for our beautiful boats, this remarkable fiord — also known as Pātea, the 'sound of silence' — is the deepest of New Zealand’s fiords and is known for its untouched beauty and tranquility.

When we chose our brand name, we wanted it to reflect the essence and freedom of our family adventures. The countless journeys we’ve shared in Doubtful Sound Pātea have given us rest, peace, and rejuvenation — all the things that matter most to us. 🙌

It’s been an epic few days taking part in the Mahia Boating & Fishing Club’s tuna comp - amazing day two with all four reels hit by yellowfin at the same time during the morning, with three landed!

Comp rundown for Marama:
🐟 yellowfin tuna 21.2kg - caught by Shane, day one
🐟 albacore tuna 11.1kg - caught by Nate, day two
🐟 yellowfin tuna 22kg - caught by Emma, day two
🐟 yellowfin tuna 19.1kg - caught by Izak, day two
🐟 yellowfin tuna 21.7kg - caught by Nate, day two
🥇 spot prize - new rod and reel combo - Ivan
🥇 president’s choice - Marama

Special mention for the surfcasting catch by Kace - a 9.42kg kingfish! On day one.

Thanks Mahia for turning it on for us! We’re already looking forward to our next trip up!

Its been a BIG few days getting into Mahia with Marama and getting set up for the Mahia Boating & Fishing Club’s tuna comp 😎 🎣 The mission from Dunedin to Mahia went like absolute clockwork, and Marama cruised the whole way like a champ.

The crew is pumped, spirits are sky-high, and the comp fired up at 6am this morning. Mahia has turned on a stunner for us too - sunshine, awesome seas, the works! 🌊 ☀️

Lines are in, good vibes are rolling. Let’s go find some TUNA! 🔥 🐟
