An exciting new era for GT Racing in New Zealand, we are stoked to be part of it!

Summerset Retirement Villages continues as title partner of the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship for a fourth season, and we're proud that the series lands right here at Highlands for the NAPA 71st New Zealand Grand Prix (29-31 January)!

The championship also welcomes Giltrap Group, Porsche New Zealand, Star Insure, Design Windows and Omnigraphics as ongoing partners, plus big tyre news - both Michelin and Pirelli confirmed as tyre partners across the field - a rare setup on the global stage.

🏁 A NEW ERA FOR GT RACING!

We're thrilled to confirm that Summerset Retirement Villages will continue their partnership with New Zealand's premier GT racing category, returning as title partner of the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship for the 2026-27 season.

It marks the fourth year of partnership between Summerset and GT New Zealand. We're also excited to welcome an outstanding group of ongoing partners into this new era of GT racing: Giltrap Group, Porsche New Zealand, Star Insure, Design Windows and Omnigraphics.

Big tyre news too - both Michelin and Pirelli will feature across the field this season, one of only a handful of examples globally where a championship runs two key tyre partners side by side. Pirelli will be the control tyre supplier for the GT4 class, while Porsche Cup cars will exclusively field Michelin tyres.

The 2026/27 Summerset GT New Zealand Championship will run as part of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship, New Zealand's premier summer series.

A full breakdown of classes and race formats will be announced when entries go live on September 1!
