Canterbury Yachting Association The Canterbury Yachting Association represents yachting interests in Canterbury. Our main objectives

We work closely with Yachting New Zealand and all the yacht clubs and class associations in Canterbury
We have 11 yacht clubs in our region; two in the lower reaches of the Waimakariri River, three in the sheltered Heathcote and Avon river Estuary, two in the deep water Port of Lyttelton, three in Banks Peninsula and one in Timaru. Our clubs cater for a large range of classes including dinghies, t

railer yachts and keelers. The sailing season is over our summer from September through to April, with a couple of clubs also running a winter series. Most clubs have a programme of learn to sail classes, fun club racing, through to competitive class championships as well as cruising and social programmes.
