Are you an automotive service technician looking for a new challenge.
TTE Automotive (Taxi Technology) is looking for a technician with workshop experience to fill a role that includes mechanical and automotive installation skills. The role requires great customer service skills with the ability to deal directly with the public.
- Capable of service and technical repair work on most common vehicle makes.
- Hold and maintain a full NZ drivers license.
- Great communication skills.
- Be self motivated and take pride in their work.
- The ability to work well both in a team environment and unsupervised.
- Ensure efficient and accurate fault diagnostics, with a good understanding of all automotive systems.
- Ensure all vehicles are processed accurately, efficiently and of a high standard.
- Is reliable and has good time management skills.
- Ensure tasks are completed within a scheduled time frame.
- Competent in workplace safety and the use of proper safety equipment when required.
- Is competent with the use of computers and other IT equipment.
- NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa.
The position includes mechanical vehicle servicing, diagnosing and repairing including hybrid vehicle systems, brakes, suspension, engine and transmission, and electrical systems. Tyres and wheels. Servicing, installing, diagnosis and repair of taxi equipment and aftermarket accessories, as well as other auto electrical tasks.
Fabrication/welding.
Customer service/Customer bookings.
Completing job cards and invoicing.
Full installation specific training will be provided to the right applicant.
Hours Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm
This position requires a large number of skills with a very diverse task list. The ability to work with tight timeframes and priorities tasks throughout the day. Dealing directly with customers, arranging bookings and completing estimate's and invoices.
Mechanical apprenticeship available however this position is not available to entry level technicians, workshop experience required.
Remuneration negotiable relative to experience/ability and skill set.
