ABOUT THE COMPANY
GB motors (previously known as Geoff Blackler Motors) has recently been taken over by a new, energetic manager with over 10 years' experience as an Automotive Mechanic working both locally and internationally. GB Motors is looking to grow the team, set a fun work environment and take on new ideas. We are currently looking for an Automotive Mechanic who can hit the ground running in this fast-paced Sydenham workshop. Our ideal applicant will have vehicle servicing experience with multiple vehicle types or has the passion to learn and diversify their knowledge.
As an Automotive Mechanic you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance to a broad range of vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanic who would like to step into and expand their skills within a company who truly wishes to invest in their staff and provide exceptional career progression
DUTIES
These will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Carry out service and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
• Diagnose vehicle issues from customer complaints
• Be capable to use diagnostic tools
• Keep a clean and safe work environment
• Assist other team members when needed
• Working to deadlines
TO BE SUCCESSFUL
We are looking for the following:
• Available to work Monday - Friday
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound mechanical knowledge and experience
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Have and maintain a full driver's licence
• An honest reliable and trustworthy work ethic
• A relevant automotive trade qualification or sound references
• WOF ticket is not required
• Be able to deal with a heavy workload and thrive under pressure
• High level of attention to detail
• Applicants for this position should have NZ residence
