Hi everyone,

📅 The countdown is on—there are now only 11 days left to become a financial member of the Otago Western Riding Club and be eligible for our 2026/27 End of Season OWRC Trophies.

To be eligible, both your membership application and payment must be received by Friday, 31 July 2026.

We've noticed there are still a number of membership applications awaiting payment. If you've already submitted your form, please check that your payment has also been made. Your membership isn't complete until payment has been received.

If your membership is received after 31 July 2026, we'd still love to have you as part of the club! You'll continue to enjoy all the benefits of being an OWRC member, including:

✅️Being part of our fun, supportive western riding community.

✅️Access to club days, clinics, shows, and events.

✅️Voting rights as a financial member.

✅️Regular club updates and opportunities throughout the season.

The only difference is that memberships received after 31 July won't be eligible to earn points towards our 2026/27 End of Season OWRC Trophies.

Whether you're a returning member or joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you on board for another fantastic season.

If you haven't joined yet, or still need to make your payment, now's the time!

We can't wait to see you all back in the arena.🦄

With all the wild weather hitting so many parts of the South Island, we're thinking of everyone who's been affected.

Whether you're dealing with flooding, heavy rain, strong winds, or snow, we hope all of our members, friends, families, and their horses, sheep, cows, and other animals are staying safe, warm, and dry — it's a bit of a duck world out there.

Please take care, check in on one another, and don't take any unnecessary risks. We're thinking of everyone facing these tough conditions, and we hope the weather eases soon.

Lessons Confirmed!

🐎 Join 𝐑𝐨𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 – NZWRF Judge & Clinician – for Winter Training Clinics!

First clinic 15th and 16th of August!

Weekend is structured with 2 group sessions over the Saturday, with a private one hour lesson on the Sunday.

Whether you’re chasing higher scores or building confidence in the pen, these clinics are designed to elevate both horse and rider 🐴

$250 a rider for the weekend!

Afternoon everyone,

Just a reminder that our AGM & Prizegiving is on tomorrow, Saturday 23rd May.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all there and celebrating another great season together.

For those who have preordered meals, lunch will be from 12 noon.
For everyone attending the AGM and Prizegiving, please arrive just before 1pm for a prompt 1pm start, with prizegiving to follow the meeting.
