This Evo X turbo had let go in quite a spectacular fashion. Luckily with a spare turbo not far away, I was quickly able to rectify the situation and upgrade to a more reliable and higher flowing setup without the need for expensive machining 🐌

Pretty rare to get to do two types of Evo turbo these days back to back - bits it's been my pleasure this week!

Both an Evo 3 and Evo 7 turbo here which spin in opposite directions to each other.

Carrying out basically identical upgrades on these turbos can bring them twenty plus years into the future. Fitting the much more efficient and taller billet compressor wheels with the much improved aero package on the 9 blade turbine wheel packs a massive punch for its size. These upgrades are effective and don't require any additional machining so keep costs to a minimum. Expect to see 10-15% more power from these while improving both bottom end and transient response.

Like any of my turbos these wouldn't go without the usual upgraded bearing and seal package to help take the extra load and provide that reliability we are all after

A couple of unique turbos here - possibly the world's only T51r K0422 which I have upgraded with a Xona turbine and a GTX compressor wheel.

Then we have an extra spicy T51r SSTX2867r with an air curve compressor. These flow a lot for their size and have performed great in the past!

I will be taking a slight break as we relocate again to a new town. I will still be available on messenger but I should be back into things around mid May 🙂

Looking for something in between a stock turbo and a big boy but don't want to break the bank? Enter the K0422X.

With a high flowing, air curve, point milled compressor, and a Xona turbine wheel - this turbo can eat more air for its size than any other turbo in factory configuration.

We have had really good results with these designs of compressor wheels and I expect great numbers out of it.

Starting from $1050, this is slightly more than the K0422+, but worth every penny

Selling my barely used Garrett based SSTX-3076r reverse rotation gen 2 supercore.

This turbo is rated for between 400-750hp, featuring a 58mm gen 2 compressor wheel it's capable of flowing up to 67lbs/min of airflow.

The turbine on this turbo is a 5+5 blade xona style which reduces top end back pressure and is 15% lighter than the equivalent gt30r turbine, improving transient response and spool.

This turbo was built for a 4g63t, being reverse rotation and with the correct turbine housing this can bolt straight to a stock fl**ge Evo 4-9 manifold for OEM style placement with great response. Expect power to continue increasing up to 8500rpm with a 2L engine.

Due to an upcoming move down country, I will only be taking orders until the end of June, and then no further orders will be taken until September. This will allow me to complete all work before I move, and not leave people without their turbo. Make sure all orders are placed before the 1st of July, and I will get your jobs finished as quickly as possible.

One of One will be stocking a couple of turbo options for the Mazda's, so urgent repairs can be undertaken 🐌

Check out the difference in size between a td05hr-20g Evo 9 turbo and the replacement reverse rotation SSTX3071r gen 2 with xona turbine. The Garrett based turbo really improves the response and aerodynamics over the Mitsubishi turbo, although both work well on the 4g63 platform. The upgraded aero by replacing old parts with newer technology, massively improves the turbos potential. A hybrid upgrade such as this td05hr-20g, can deliver up to 15% more power without any extra machining or just a simple compressor cover swap.

The Garrett reverse rotation turbo can drop straight into a stock fl**ge and downpipe gt30r turbine housing, allowing great packaging like the factory turbo while only needing minimal modifications.

The modifications required are:

Drilling out the factory oil drain line holes 2mm to 8mm
Slight manipulation of Evo 9 water and oil lines to fit around the compressor cover
Replacing the oil feed banjo with an 11mm instead of 12mm
Making a custom wastegate bracket
