New to Mazdaspeed and looking to get started with mods? Here’s a rundown of the first power mods you should consider:
Upgraded Fuel Pump Internals
Mazdaspeed engines are notorious for having high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) limitations, especially when you start adding power. Upgrading the fuel pump internals is a must if you’re tuning your car. This upgrade ensures your engine gets the fuel it needs, especially at higher RPMs.
3.5” Air Intake
A cold air intake is one of the most popular mods for good reason. It improves airflow, giving you a noticeable bump in throttle response and power. Plus, it adds that sweet spooly sound! Go custom to ensure quality fitment and gains.
Upgraded Intercooler

While you may not necessarily need a tune after adding parts, it’s important to remember these 2 things: when you’re modifying a car that changes the amount of air going into or leaving the engine; or altering any aspect of the fuel system, then you will need a tune.
