It's been a wild ride through the first half of 2026.

The market continues to be unpredictable, with many businesses unsure whether conditions are improving or becoming more challenging.

Just two to three years ago we were operating in a strong seller's market. Today, the pendulum has swung firmly in favour of buyers, with values and expectations being reset across many sectors.

Over the first two quarters of this year, we've seen pressure across almost every industry. Liquidations and receiverships have impacted transport, civil construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and even the property sector.

I sit here in the office tonight after hearing the devastating news that you’ve left us.

Reading through the messages from your friends and family, it’s clear just how many lives you’ve touched and the impact you’ve had on so many people. In true Glenn fashion, you would’ve downplayed it — “ah, whatever,” changed the subject, and moved on.

You were a family man first and foremost. The industry always came second, and rightly so. But when there was a deal to be done, you were there. The commitment you showed over the years we knew each other was top class, and that will be deeply missed.

I’ll miss the after-hours calls when we finally had time to talk, the catch-ups, the airport pickups — you were a true gentleman in every sense.

To your family and friends, we’ve lost someone truly special — passionate in all aspects of life.

Fly high, my friend. We’ll talk again someday.

Today is a day the flag is at half mast for us at Kiwi Asset Solutions,

Your skills and knowledge in the asset disposal world through all sectors will never be the same.

As the working year comes to an end (thank goodness), we would like to sincerely thank all of our customers — new and longstanding, private and corporate — for your continued support through what has been another challenging year. As they say… survive ’25.

A couple of additional assets were successfully sold in November for our corporate clients. Due to our relocation, we are only just getting around to sharing these. We wish their new owners every success, with the assets already back to work where they belong.

We are very much looking forward to a short break over the festive season as we settle into our new location in the sunny north. Our new main office is now based in Ruakākā, while Auckland will continue to be serviced via a smaller office in St Johns, where appointments can still be arranged.

Importantly, we will continue to service clients New Zealand-wide, with no change to our valuation or asset sales services.
