Tricky one in the workshop this week 🔧

A customer brought in a heavily worn camshaft from a Honda GB400 and told us you can’t buy these cams anymore.

After some hard-facing on the lobes and precision grinding, we brought it back to life.

Result — just like new.

Saving parts that are impossible to replace is always a good day in the workshop.

Another great job wrapped up last week 🔧🔥

We helped a customer upgrade his 351C from a flat tappet camshaft to a roller hydraulic cam setup – a solid move for improved reliability and performance.

For the conversion, we supplied:
✔️ New link bar lifters
✔️ Matching pushrods
✔️ Valve springs to suit the roller cam

Everything matched and set up correctly to ensure the combo works perfectly together.

🔧 Workshop Update 🔧

One of the first jobs on the bench this week was repairing a damaged VW Type 1 race cam.

To bring it back to life, we carefully built the worn lobes back up using our specialised welding process, then precision-machined the camshaft back to exact specifications.

We use a premium-grade welding rod designed specifically for cast iron camshafts, allowing us to restore most cams to performance-ready condition.

Rover 3.5 camshaft done for a customer today. We do have our own profiles but sometimes our customers know what they want. This cam was done to the Isky 256 grind.
