If you have a MyAA account you can simply log in when booking lessons.

If you do not have a MyAA account or AA Membership, you can still create a non-Member account and book lessons online.

Please note that accounts, bookings and AA Membership need to be in the name of the driver taking the lessons.

If youโ€™re booking a driver licence test, itโ€™s important you're prepared for your test.

Wait times for driver licence tests have increased since Waka Kotahi NZTA changed the fees, so make sure you prepare well for your driver licence test. If you don't pass, you may need to wait a while to get another slot.

If you get a test booking and can't use it, please make sure you cancel. Even an hour's notice will mean someone else can use the slot.

Before passing, always ask yourself, โ€˜Is it really necessary to pass?โ€™ Donโ€™t pass just because you are feeling impatient with the vehicle in front โ€“ thatโ€™s often when crashes happen.

If you do decide to pass, follow the rules below.

Before you pass:

โžก๏ธ make sure you will be able to see at least 100 metres of clear road for the whole time you are passing โ€“ if not, donโ€™t pass
โžก๏ธ look well ahead to make sure there are no vehicles coming towards you
โžก๏ธ look behind to make sure there are no vehicles passing you
โžก๏ธ signal right for at least three seconds and check your blind spot before moving out to pass.
