We are searching for a Business Development Manager to join our Auckland Team.
Motoka is a busy, boutique car dealership based in Mt Wellington focussed on importing vehicles from Japan that will sell in this current market. Our range of vehicles change monthly and we like to explore bringing in new vehicles into New Zealand.
We operate a business where excellent and honest customer service is critical and as a small team we don’t have a hierarchy - everyone is treated with respect.

What you’ll be doing
In this autonomous role, no week will be the same. You can expect to be:
Delivering against the monthly sales target set in collaboration with the Director
Being the face for Motoka, meeting customers, showing them vehicles, objection handling and closing deals (including printing and signing VOSA and CIN)
Liaising with our preferred finance partners to deliver our customers the best possible finance options
Responsible for managing our groomers/sales consultants in preparing vehicles for advertising and customer collection (this includes performing basic mechanical checks such as water oil, and tyre pressure)
Managing the advertising and promotion of our vehicles on paid online and via our own website
Dealing directly with compliance in arranging for the delivery and collection of new vehicles
Working across a range of our preferred suppliers across Auckland (i.e. panel beaters, painters, mechanics etc) to address any work required post-compliance reports
Setting out new initiatives and suggesting opportunities that will continue to improve the daily management and growth of the business
What you need to bring
Minimum of 2-3 years’ of motor vehicle sales experience within New Zealand
Fluent english, both verbal and written
Full, clean New Zealand Drivers License (including the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
Knowledge of administration policies, systems, and procedures
Computer skills, including word-processing skills and the ability to use relevant finance software for completing quotes and motor central would be a bonus etc
Understanding of health and safety in the workplace
Understanding of relevant legislation such as the Employment Relations Act
Knowledge of paint technology and the skills / techniques for cleaning and polishing different paint types including how to use them safely (to help train and support our car groomers)
