I've been in the motor industry for 53 years and have owned Rod Milner Motors for 34 years. We offer a wide range of vehicles but in particular I have a special interest in people with disabilities. My late wife had to use a wheelchair when she was very ill, and I immediately realized the shortcomings in the quantity and quality of vehicles available for the disabled. I was the founding chairman of the Imported Motor Vehicle Dealers Association and am a member of VANZ. As you will see from the vehicles in stock, we carry a wide range of vehicles. We have a large range of disability vehicles of all different types and I'm sure we will have a suitable vehicle for you. Rod Milner Motors will always go the extra mile to ensure all our vehicles meet the very high standards required. We consider your safety of paramount importance and conduct careful checks to ensure the correct anchorages are installed and the rear hoist meets the required standard. You need to be very careful when purchasing a vehicle with the rear hoist as a lot of the vehicles in the market would not meet the standards set for the carrying of a disabled person. At the end of the day we are here to help. Give us a call and you will find us very easy to work in with. We also stock a large range of quality, selected vehicles. At Rod Milner Motors most of our customers buy for the long term. The average client keeps their vehicle for 8 years so buying a low mileage car makes sense. We are now the largest supplier of disability vehicles in NZ and also have the biggest range of vehicles to choose from. We are located at 580 Great South Road, Greenlane. Today, we celebrate 4 years since Milner Mobility (formerly known as Rod Milner Motors) embarked on an exciting new chapter, re-branding and unveiling our state-of-the-art, purpose-designed showroom in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

This significant milestone marked a major turning point in our journey. Here's to many more years of growth, innovation, and making a positive impact on the lives of our customers! Have you ever considered the process involved in a drivers floor conversion? Join us for a behind the scenes look in our workshop today as we share with you the steps.

1 - The driver's seat is removed and electrical components are relocated beneath the opposite seat.
2 - The factory floor is removed and prepared for the tub insert.
3 - The tub is installed.
4 - A docking plate, rails, and flooring are installed.
5 - Trim and floor coverings are installed, and the driver's seat is reinstated into place.

This adapted vehicle enables individuals to effortlessly reposition the driver's seat and access the driver's position from their wheelchair.

Making something simply easier can make such a huge difference to someone’s independence. We utilise our design and 3d printing capability daily to assist with this. An example is we can print car key extensions to give the key “wings” to make them easier to turn with more leverage.
