🚗🚙🚗🚙 New brands seem to be arriving thick and fast on New Zealand’s roads, an influx of Chinese brands and it takes a bit to keep on top of when it comes to looking for wheel and tyre options!

Latest fitment is for a Geely Riddara RD6 electric ute, standard on 235/60R18 highway tread tyres.

We speced up a nice set of BGW Covert RV4 wrapped with 275/45R20 Delium Terra Frontier All terrain tyres! The wheel arches are VERY small, while the fitment isn’t much taller the new fitment is 40mm wider and with the more aggressive rims in proved to be a very tight fitment! We also fitted a 20mm front spring packer to level it up and give a bit more clearance.

The boys knew as soon as they got out and tried to walk across to the tractor to do
a puncture repair there was no way they would ever be able to drive across!
10 mins with the digger cutting a dry track saved an hour of washing our vehicle and tools! ❤️

From 21st January……some one was having a bad day!
Less than a kilometre to go, from destination Atlas Concrete, going up Silverdale hill and the tractor unit looses traction on the greasy surface!
It appears the driver tried to reverse down the hill to get a better run at going up, the dolly jackknifed and blocked both lanes for about 30 mins!
Fairly sure another driver hoped in and engaged diff locks and cross locks and away it went first try! 😂

Upsized the tyres only from the factory fit 265/50R20 Goodyear Efficient Grip SUV to 275/55R20 Falken AT3W All Terrain!
Only 10mm wider, and within the 5% taller allowable for WOF, a really hard wearing, comfortable low road noise tyre that gives the car some presence!
