Kiaora, It came to our attention after a couple of long weeks working in Auckland CBD that our local beach had an issue with a set net that was overdue and had no owners. We saw on Facebook pictures and reports that this net has been sitting for 3-5 days off Tindles beach. All the fish seemed to be rotting and caused a great danger to wild life and the local beach.

Jacob Young Samantha Draper and myself took the matters into our own hands, we volunteered to retrieve the net.
We, as a company make our living on the Moana but we also love to show our respect and appreciation for this beautiful gift of the ocean.

Successfully we recovered this net but sadly hundreds of fish suffered and mostly rotted for numerous days, 95% of the fish was unusable, we released as many fish that still had a chance to live.

We recorded all evidence for fisheries and took all rotten fish down to a local area where plenty of snappers and stingrays would enjoy this meal.

All and all we are always here to help big or small, the Moana is our future so let's look after her.
