DID YOU KNOW YOUR VEHICLE IS IN LOCKDOWN TOO? π€―
You may not think so, however as we've all been forced back into another lockdown due to the presence of the Delta strand of COVID-19 here in Aotearoa, your vehicle has been forced into lockdown as well. So, we thought we'd give you some tips on how to look after your look after your vehicle during this level 4 lockdown as we don't know how long we'll remain under these restrictions.
1: Drive or idle your vehicle at least one a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. This will help to prevent your battery from draining and also helps the flow of fluids in the engine.
2: Check your tyre tread and tyre pressure. The minimum road worthy tread depth for you vehicle could not be anywhere below 1.5mm. Many of you will have received a tyre tread depth checker from our staff however, if you haven't received one yet you can always come in and request one. When you go out for your next drive, stop by at a petrol station near you and check/inflate your tyres to the recommended psi.
3: Check all your lights are still working so if you decide to go to the supermarket in the evening to avoid the queues, you'll be able to see where you're going.
4: Check all your fluid levels under your bonnet and make sure they're not below the lowest level indicator.
For those who are unsure of how to do either of these checks, you can always come in and we can do so for you. If there's any other issues with your vehicle you'd like inspected, don't hesitate to call us today and book an appointment for the inspection.
We hope your all staying safe.
