Rounding out the ROK Cup 2024.

Round one we actually managed to finish the race with decent points.

Round two hamilton. Started the final in P2 but was taken out on the first corner which sent me a fair way back and damaged my kart.

Round 3 South Island. Ended up in an ambulance due to other people’s poor decisions.

Round 4 Manawatu. Ended up in the ambulance again due to other people’s poor decisions.

We went into round 5 still 5th in the series but really no chance to get to the podium. We qualified 5th but was dropped to 7th after a nose come penalty. Race one amazing pace finishes 2nd and had the fastest lap.

Race 2 not so much finished 7th but regulated to 13th. Started race 3 on day to in 4th position. Dad messed up and my wheel came off taking me out of the battle for the podium. Race 5. Started 11th and had an amazing start. Worked my way up to 5th overall crossing the line but really had no chance to catch the leaders from so far back they were well gone.

Overall 5th for round 5 out of 28 karts. What was a surprise was I had managed to gain enough points to get on the winners circle in the kartstars series and walked away with 6th place over 5 rounds.

Dad said it was an amazing effort considering our bad luck and 3 of the events.

All in all this will be my last year in VMR and have loved the battles.

Looking forward to now to Auckland Schools then immediately after we are on a plane to Singapore to contest the Asia Pacific Karting Championship at rhe amazing KF1 facility.

We really feel for our teammate who came all the way from Singapore to race this wound. Jamie White.

You’re an amazing kid with awesome talent. We are sorry we couldn’t get the weather right and a better result for you. Racing in a massive field with unknown conditions was very hard.

Every race Jamie went forward with lists of passes. Finishing the pre final in 13th from 20th due to a couple of slip up’s was an amazing effort.

Points put Jamie back on P21 for the final. Unfortunately he had contact with another kart. Not Jamie’s fault and also being on slicks for the very first time for the weekend, just didn’t go Jamie’s way.

His axel had moved in the accident so it scrubbed off a lot of speed this made it very hard for him to fight his way back up the ladder as the pace just wasn’t there.

Overall a massive learning experience and lots of great moments. Let’s hope we can get Jamie back again next year to show everyone what he is capable of. Thanks to Darren Aislabie for looking after Jamie’s kart and setups.

Thanks to my loyal sponsors for helping me do what I love the most.

Good Morning. We are excited to leave for nationals on Wednesday we headed to the South Island for 2 weeks. Braden flies down on the 22nd and remains in Marlbrough until the event.

We camp and stay at the track. This is the biggest event of the year. If you win this you become 1NZ and get to represent nz overseas. This is only one event but your sponsorship will cover all events this year and there are a few.

I am looking for people to help Braden out. $500 gets us a set of tyres and fuel for the kart for an event.

For this you get tagged in all social media posts. Braden when on podium will recognise his sponsors and you will be printed in all media that the events produces as a sponsor for Braden Watson motorsports

Hopefully you can help with just as little as $500. $1200 gets us a full box of tyres (3 sets).

Braden is now at the top of his field and will remain there for the rest of this year as he moves up a class in November. Until then we are one of the kids to beat.

Can you help Braden with as little as $500. It would be a great help for his karting and driving future.

We have a dedicated Motorsport account for all donations. Sponsorship can also be tax deductible.

Thanks. From Braden and Philip and KHUSHY.

Awesomeness.

The NZ Burnout Scene mourns the huge loss of one of its true hero's. Her passion and love for Burnouts lead her to pioneering NZBC with her husband Ricky, their beautiful kids and their NZBC family. As we know, her love and passion didn't stop there and lead her to become NZ's first ever and Burnout Masters Judge and SUMMERNATS judge whilst also judging various other competitions in Australia.

Jenn thank you for your commitment to the scene. Spreading your love and passion everywhere you went. Thank you for all you have done. And thank you for not only being our friend but also for being part of our family. You made sure to open some doors before you left us and we promise to take our shoes off and walk right in!

To Ricky and family - our deepest condolences to you all for this huge loss. We love you and are here for you 💚

Rest in Burnout Heaven Jenn Ireland. We will miss and Cherish you 💚
