Ardmore Motocross Track

Ardmore will be open for practice tomorrow Sunday 11th October from 10 am until 4 pm. The whole track has been prepped and although its been dry this week the forecast is for some light rain passing through tonight clearing to sunny weather on Sunday morning so we should have perfect track conditions for tomorrows ride.

The Wildman is on at Ardmore today Sunday 4th October from 10 am until 4 pm. The gates open at 9 am with breifing at 10 am followed by practice and racing from 11 am. We got some rain passing through overnight which cleared early morning so we are heading to the track to add in some extra track sections for the series final. The whole track has been power harrowed and the forecast is for a cloudy morning clearing to fine in the afternoon.

The Wildman is on at Ardmore tomorrow Sunday 4th October. We power harrowed the track to perfection for the series final and the weather is looking good for Sunday. We finished prepping the track tonight and we have some light drizzly rain passing through tonight clearing at 8 am according to Weather Watch and 4 am according to Metservice with heavier falls in the east south of the Bombay Hills so we should get perfect soil conditions for racing tomorrow.

The Wildman is on at Ardmore this Sunday 4th October. The whole circuit was ripped yesterday ready for a massive power harrow on Saturday morning along with the final prep to get it ready for racing on Sunday. The weather is looking good for raceday and we have the Flipping Burgers food caravan coming out for the first time thanks to Graham who has built the new big tabletop tower and rebuilt the stairs on the container tower. Thanks also to Jason for organising a digger and gravel for the driveway and Ryan and Jess for prepping the track.

With the final Round of the 2026 Wildman Series coming up this weekend here’s a look back at the Vets in action at Round 5 Ft- Winston Byblow, Charles Durrant, Mattias Fridh, Mark Collier, Rhys Millington, Dave Wallace, Tom Keith, Dean Ismonger, Wayne Chetham, Craig Taylor, Morris Pulman, Shelley Hickman, Chad Greyvenstein, Dave McMullen, Rod Pickerill, Phil Morgan, Mike Cameron and Kevin Smith.

THE WILDMAN ROUND 8

Mattias Fridh charged out of the gates on his CRF450 to take the lead on his Honda at the start of the Wildman Main event at Round 8 of the series. Rhys Statham was close behind in 2nd on his SXF250 leading YZ250 mounted Toby Summers, Connor Walworth on his YZF450, Craig Taylor, Charles Durrant, Alister Kuypers, Wayne Chetham, Rod Pickerill, Mike Cameron and Aaron Walters. A hard charging Charles Durrant moved up to 5th on his CRF450 on lap 2 with Mattias Fridh out front setting a blistering pace. Mattias and Charles were currently tied on 280 points each for the series lead with Rhys Statham their main contender on 276 points after having already dropped a round. Toby Summers passed Rhys on lap 4 while Alister Kuypers railed his YZF250 through to 6th. Disaster struck for Charles Durrant on lap 6 when he slammed his CRF450 hard into a whoop tweaking his back, the Honda rider pulling out the following lap. Toby Summers passed Mattias Fridh for the lead on lap 9 with Rhys Statham deciding to play it safe and stay in 3rd keeping the race leaders in striking distance. The white flag was out on lap 19 with Toby Summers taking the chequered flag and the moto win on lap 20, Mattias crossing the line in 2nd to take the overall lead and Rhys Statham 3rd now only 2 points behind Charles Durrant in the series and with a real chance of winning the series. Connor Walworth took his YZF450 into 4th place at the end of the 30 minute moto and 7th in the series with Alister Kuypers 5th at the flag. Craig Taylor took 6th in the moto moving into 5th overall on his SXF250 behind SXF450 mounted Mark Collier who is 4th overall in the series. Wayne Chetham took 7th on his Gasas MC450 leading CRF250 mounted Rod Pickerill and Mike Cameron on his SXF450 across the line with Mike now 6th in the series 2 points behind Craig Taylor and 1 point ahead of Connor Walworth.

PRO & SUPPORT ROUND 8

Alan Cameron had his SX300 tapped out and in the lead in the Pro Class at Round 8 of the series with Rhys Statham in 2nd on his SXF250 leading Toby Summers, Alister Kuypers, Ron Smit and Winston Byblow. Toby passed Rhys on lap 2 and Alan on lap 7 to take the moto win on his YZ250 on lap 8 with Alan 2nd, Rhys 3rd and Alister Kuyper 3rd on his YZF250. Connor Walworth took 4th on his YZF450 moving into 2nd overall in the Open Pro Class behind Winston Byblow with Alan Cameron 3rd overall and Toby Summers 4th overall, Connor, Alan and Toby all having already dropped a round. Rhys Statham stretched out his series lead on his SXF250 in the 125-250 Pro Class over Dylan Martin in 2nd overall with Alister Kuypers in 3rd closing the points gap to 2nd.

VETERANS 35+ ROUND 8

Mattias Fridh was out in front on his CRF450 at the start of the Vets race at Round 8 with CRF450 mounted Dave Wallace in 2nd leading Winston Byblow on his MC300, Charles Durrant, Craig Taylor, Wayne Chetham, Dave McMullen, Rod Pickerill, Mike Cameron, Ron Smit and Aaron Walters. With the race leaders back to 5th in a tight pack the only pass was made by Charles Durrant who took his CRF450 through to 3rd on lap 2 with Mattias crossing the line for the moto win on lap 8 ahead of Dave Wallace, Charles, Winston Byblow, Craig Taylor, MC450 mounted Wayne Chetham and Dave McMullen on his CRF450. Charles Durrant had the series lead going into Round 8 with a 14 point lead over Winston Byblow who was 19 points ahead of Mattias Fridh. At the end of the moto Mattias had closed to 4 points behind Winston with Charles stretching his lead to 20 points and Craig Taylor moving up from 5th overall on his SXF250 to 4th overall with Mark Collier 5th overall, Dave Wallace 6th, Rhys Millington 9 points behind Dave in 7th overall, Mike Cameron 10 points behind Rhys in 8th, Tom Keith 9th and Rod Pickerill 10th overall going into the final round.
