Apache update.
The realisation that i haven't posted in a little while (been flat out working).
We are making good progress on the Apache truck with the brake system being fully plumed up and all the suspension fitted and a lot of small details being dealt to (lots of brackets and filling holes for a clean engine bay).

Spicy spaghetti!!
Getting stuck into some wiring.
First job was to sort out the mess the previous person had created and then we can fit our switches and things so we can plan our loom run.

A bit of a slow week with lots of little fiddly jobs on the apache
Steering column shaved ✅
Brake pedal lever reshaped ✅
Throttle pedal moved for better ergonomics ✅
Holes for all of the above patched and moved ✅
Test fit wheels and check clearance on steering lock✅
Fit spacers on door electrical contacts ✅
Fit doors✅
Fit seat ✅
Lots of brackets made ✅
All ready for the customer to come in and have a sit in the truck to make sure it is all correct for him and he is comfortable while driving.

More progress on the Pro Touring Apache.
Taking a break from the exhaust as we are waiting on a few bits and decided it was time to tackle the issue with the radio.... more to the point the hole in witch it sits, this truck has had a tape deck put in at some point and along with it not looking right it was done poorly with a section cut out, three layers of steel welded in and 10mm of bog thrown at it to try make it look good 🤦‍♂️.... We are going to be using a vintage looking unit that has all the functionality of a modern radio including bluetooth so we cut the mess that was there out and welded in some new steel that wont need a ton of bog to make it look good 😎

Today we spent some time on the Pro touring Chevrolet Apache!!
getting stuck into the exhaust we managed to get the front half in and fully welded up making sure there is plenty of room to shield and service the brake master and booster.... Yes thats right the master cylinder and booster is mounted under the truck due to space constraints in the engine bay.

The Infrequent Fly.
We have just had the infrequent fly back in, we did a full stereo upgrade witch was all integrated to the factory controls and dsp late last year and we have just had it back in to take care of some mechanical maintenance and while it was here i thought i would make some slight changes to the stereo with a more factory feel on start up and a personalised background 😎

Regular serving of you turbo vehicles with quality oils is important! This poor turbo has meet its end due to a lack of proper lubrication, Not to worry as we have sourced a replacement and will get it all back up and running again

The little 1973 Honda C50 getting some time spent on this week 😎. The bike has been completely striped down and has been dipped to strip all the paint and rust followed by an E-coat to protect it from any further corrosion after we fixed the few cracks in the frame. everything is currently getting a light skim of filler and prepped for paint.
