After months of trying, we've finally captured the entire AutoSparks technician crew in a single photo.

Usually they're scattered around the workshop, under dashboards, inside engine bays, or arguing about whose turn it is to cook the sausage sizzle.

Can’t wait to show the finished result once it’s fully signed off and out doing what it was built for 💪

With recent changes to WOF inspection intervals in New Zealand, it’s more important than ever to stay on top of your vehicle’s condition between checks.

As WOF periods become longer for many vehicles, regular maintenance plays a bigger role in keeping you safe on the road — especially your tyres and wheel alignment. A wheel alignment that’s slightly out can wear tyres down quickly, sometimes in just a few months, without you even realising.

A quick reminder from Auto Sparks:
✔ Check your tyres regularly for uneven wear and tread depth
✔ Don’t ignore signs like pulling, vibration, or noise while driving
✔ Get your wheel alignment checked if anything feels off
✔ Don’t wait for your next WOF if something doesn’t seem right

These changes make it even more important to take a proactive approach to vehicle safety, not just rely on inspection intervals.

Fuel prices are doing their thing again 😅 so here’s a few easy wins to help you get a bit more out of every tank ⛽️

• Check your tyre pressure – soft tyres = more fuel used
• Drive smooth – easy on the take-offs and braking
• Lighten the load – ditch the extra gear in the boot/roof racks
• Don’t idle – if you’re parked up, switch it off
• Keep up your servicing – a well-tuned engine runs cheaper
• Check your air filter – quick, cheap, makes a difference
• Wheel alignment – keeps things running straight and efficient

We’ve just had this epic father & son 5-year project through the workshop — a classic Model A 🚗🔥

Fun fact: these were the first Fords to have controls we actually recognise today, like a proper accelerator and gear stick 👌

This beauty came in for a full rewire — the whole vehicle — plus converting it from left-hand drive to right-hand drive.

She’s now off to Tinwald Canvas & Upholsterynfor the next stage 👀
