Top of the South, day 9.
Holiday over and we're all heading home to Central by different routes.
For a couple of us that meant some more gravel through the stunning Haldon and Black Forest Stations to the Benmore Dam. Perfect day, great ride.

Fine clear sunny day for exploring the tops of Banks Peninsula. A myriad of very steep and winding tracks snaking around the gnarly hilltops and beautiful bays. Amazing scenery. Exhilarating day.

Top of the South, day 7.
Destination Christchurch. Again, several groups taking different routes to get there.
Our bunch of intrepid travellers took the Rainbow Road from St Arnaud through to Hammer. What an awesome day riding through some of the most stunning scenery on the mainland. Certainly was a bit of a challenge riding two up - but no spills only thrills and sore knees!

Lots of little groups heading off in different directions today.
Our happy bunch of adventure riders enjoyed the winding road out to French Pass. Stunning scenery, great road.
The pies at the Pelorus Bridge cafe are definitely recommended!

Top of the South, day 5.
Not the best of riding weather today. We crossed back over the Takaka Hill in dense fog and made it to Nelson before solid rain set in. Now parked up in Havelock in steady rain watching the Americas Cup racing on TV instead of doing some scenic riding around the Marlborough Sounds.
Could have been worse. Tomorrow is another day.
