This beauty was produced in March (VIN) and delivered from the factory on April 6th 1962 — 64 years ago. Still going strong.

Measure twice, cut/weld once. Or as it actually is: measure so many times you lose count, but are sure that the cut or weld is correct—though the doubt will always be there. 😄

Fitted the top to the car and aligned it with the two bottom pieces. Cleco fasteners are great to work with and ensure the position stays true. No wiggle room here. :-)

One of my garage New Year's resolutions is to get on with the 1956 Karmann convertible again! It's been a long pause doing multiple projects (my specialty). Heater channels from Virtanen are fab, but I need to add the inner support.
